TERMS AND CONDITIONS


By booking my services you agree to the terms and conditions. I reserve the right to amend the times and conditions at anytime


CONSULTATION


I offer a free consultation in your home to meet you and your pet


PAYMENT


Can be made by cash, bank transfer, paypal or cheque


CHARGES


I reserve the right to change rates but will give 14 days notice to any changes of payment


BOOKINGS


I ask that you confirm your booking the week before by midday on Friday either you can contact me or I will contact you to confirm. If you are a regular customer, I will book you in on a rolling contract. (for regular customers, I just ask that if you don’t need me, please give me as much notice as possible, 72 hours notice at the least)


For flexible customers, bookings are on a first come first served basis, so I would recommend to book early



COLLECTION TIME AND DROP OFF TIMES


If we have agreed a time slot, I will aim to make that time, however please allow me 30 mins either side of that time slot.

Commuting at busy times and Working with animals can be unpredictable at times (for example the previous dog may get very dirty and takes time to clean before they can be put make inside their home)

If I am going to be later than 40 mins I will contact you to make you aware.



KEYS


Keys will be kept in a key safe when not in use and any your details and address will not be associated with keys to ensure best security possible

*IF I DON’T HAVE A KEY FOR YOU, PLEASE ENSURE YOU ARE HOME AND PROMPT TO ANSWER THE DOOR WHEN WE AGREE A COLLECTION TIME AND THIS IS APPLIES FOR DROP OFF TIMES TOO*

(waiting time will be taken off the walk, if not in you will still be charged, waiting time delays me for my next walk)



CANCELLATIONS


Dog walking

For customers on a regular walking basis ,I require at least 2 weeks notice of any cancellations.

A cancellation fee of applies if less than a weeks notice is given.

Full charge for walk still applies if less than 24 hours notice is given.



Dog sitting/house sitting


During the day I may be out for a few hours while I am fulfilling my usual dog walking duties, I will discuss this with you during consultation. (on some occasions, your pet may be able to join me on group walks)


I am not responsible for any damage your pet may cause to you property or property contents


 I will take a deposit to secure your place, and if booking is cancelled with short notice (eg a month beforehand) I will keep the deposit


I will never cancel my bookings with you unless it is totally unavoidable, in this circumstance, I will give as much notice as possible and will not charge. If my services have already been paid for, I will refund you


MICROCHIPPING


This is required by law, I will require the microchip number for my records


INSURANCE 


Murphy's Happy Paws is fully insured for all services provided. However, it's down to you, the owner to have the correct insurance in place. Murphy's Happy Paws will not be held responsible or liable in the event of loss, injury or damage when using my services.


PET BEHAVIOUR 


It is the responsibility of the owner to advise me if your pet has ever shown signs of aggression. I accept that all animals have their own unique personalities and can never be 100% certain but pre knowledge is key to responsible pet care. I reserve the right to cancel your booking.


*If your pet is aggressive resulting in an injury to another pet, you are liable for the vet bills to the other pet ( serious cases may result in police involvement)*



EMERGENCY


In the event of an emergency I will try to make contact with you or your preferred second contact. In the event that your pet requires emergency vet treatment and we are unable to contact you or your preferred second contact, we reserve the right to make medical decisions on your behalf and you will be responsible for any vet bills that result from the emergency treatment. If possible, I will take to your preferred vet, if this is not possible, I will take to the nearest vet possible to avoid delay.


WEATHER


In the event of severe weather such as snow and icy roads, my services may be limited, I will contact you as soon as possible if they will be any delay or cancellation

In the event of a heat wave or extremely hot weather, I will judge the situation and if too hot, I may have to reduce the length of walk or suggest another time slot when cooler.


NOTICE


In the event that I can no longer walk your pet due my own personal circumstances, I will give you notice of 2 weeks


PICTURES/SOCIAL MEDIA

From time to time we may wish to photograph and upload images of your pet to our social media and website. If you prefer that your pets don’t appear, please inform me.
